Answers 12 – How Do I Receive Salvation Healing And Deliverance By Faith? – David Hibbert.
Introduction.
In this series called “Answers”, my goal is to help you, by sharing with you short, Biblical answers to questions that people have been asking me. Today’s question:
How do i receive salvation, healing and deliverance by faith?
There are no magic formulas to receiving by faith, but there are the repeating three steps that people must take. We must believing the truth, agree with the truth, and respond to the truth.
Let’s see how that works in three general areas of our lives.
- Salvation.
Romans 6:10, NIV – (10) The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
1 Timothy 2:4, NIV – (4) [God] … wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Romans 10:9, NIV – (9) That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Acts 3:19, NIV – (19) Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out …”
So, the truth about salvation is that Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, and that it is His will that everyone should experience salvation in Him.
However, not everyone is saved. Why not? Because we must receive salvation by faith.
And the way we receive salvation by faith, is by;
First, know the truth with the truth, that Jesus sacrificed His life for our sins so that we could be saved,
Second, agree with the truth, by confessing that Jesus is Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead.
And Third, respond to the truth by repenting of our sins and having our will converted to the will of God.
- Healing.
1 Peter 2:24, NIV – (24) He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.
Matthew 8:16, NIV – (16) … he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.
Acts 8:23, NIV – (23) “For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.”
So, concerning healing, the truth is that Jesus also died for the sickness of the whole world, and paid for our healing on the cross, and He wants everyone to experience healing.
However, not everyone is healed. Why not? Because we must receive healing by faith. And the way we receive healing by faith is different than the way we receive salvation by faith.
To receive healing by faith, we must;
First, know the truth that Jesus paid the full price for all of our sickness on the cross.
Second, agree with the truth that Jesus therefore wants us to experience His healing.
And Third, respond to the truth by receiving our healing, as well as renouncing all bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, and disobedience from our lives, which can keep us in captivity to sickness, and can block our healing.
- Deliverance.
Romans 11:26, NIV – (26) … “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
2 Timothy 4:18, NIV – (18) “The Lord will rescue [deliver] me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. …”
So, concerning deliverance, the truth is that Jesus died for the deliverance of the whole world, and He wants everyone to experience deliverance.
However, not everyone is free. Why not? Because we must receive deliverance by faith.
And the way we receive deliverance by faith is different than the way we receive salvation or healing by faith.
To receive deliverance by faith, we must;
First, believe the truth that Jesus paid for our deliverance and wants us free.
Second, agree with the truth that because of Jesus, we can be free from spiritual oppression.
And Third, respond to the truth by receiving deliverance, and turning away from ungodliness and every evil work, including renouncing and breaking generational curses, ungodly beliefs, spirit and soul hurts, soul ties, and all agreements with the devil.
Summary.
So there are no magic prayers, and no single way to experience all that God has for us.
So, even though Jesus has already paid the price for all of our salvation, healing and deliverance, we must receive them all, in every area of our life, by faith.
And we receive in every of our lives by faith, by knowing the special truth about a specific issue, agreeing with the specific truth about a specific issue, and responding to the truth about a specific issue, with the act of faith that is required for that issue.
