Good News For Today 06 Kelly Powers (2:36 min).

Hello, I’m David Hibbert, and I’ve got some good news for you! Here’s how Kelly Powers explained the Gospel – the good news of Jesus Christ. In Romans 3:23 the Bible states that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That means we are all separated from our God, and need someone to save us from our sins, and restore us to relationship with God. But how can we be saved? First, we must understand that it is impossible for us to save ourselves. That is why Jesus Christ had to come to earth. Jesus died upon the cross, and through His death and shed blood He paid the price for our sins. (Luke 24:44-47, Acts 10:34-43; Romans 5:8-9; Romans 10:9-13; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4). This good news is for anyone and everyone, but we must put our trust in Jesus and His sacrifice, in order to receive forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and be saved, (John 3:16-18; Acts 15:7-11; Romans 6:23; 1 John 5:10-13), and know that when we die one day, we will not be judged by God for our sins (Romans 8:1). Jesus rose again from the dead, defeating death and sin, and through His resurrection He offers salvation to everyone who humbles themselves and puts their complete trust in Him (John 3:16-18; Acts 16:30-31; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57; 1 Peter 1:3-5). God does not send people to hell because He is hateful or unloving, but because our sin nature and unbelief requires that we be separated from God (Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12-21; Romans 6:23). Those who reject the gospel message of Jesus Christ, those who turn away from God and choose to do things their own way, will be judged when they die, and be eternally separated from God, because they did not believe in Jesus as the only way for salvation (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:11-15). Therefore the best news is the good news of Jesus Christ, the gospel message that Jesus died upon the cross for us and rose again, and that we can be saved from our sins by putting our complete trust in Him. And we don’t have to wait until tomorrow. Today can be our day of salvation! And that’s your Good News For Today!
